The joy of blending the culture of wine and the day-to-day delights of life is the philosophy behind Kühling-Gillot estate’s winemaking.

With several premier vineyards gracing the Rhine, soaking up the sun and nurturing Riesling and Spätburgunder vines, owners H.O. Spanier and vintner’s daughter Carolin Spanier-Gillot do not believe in rushing their wines.

Terroir is the guide and Riesling is the best interpreter of the distinct soils of the Kühling-Gillot plots. The grape’s primary aromas meld with the flavors of the vineyard, features which show in bas-relief in their wines. Wines ferment naturally and mature on the lees, a process regarded as purification.

Kühling-Gillot produces 90,000 bottles annually and joined the VDP in 1997.
