When in the middle of the last century they discovered they were sitting on top terroir for Pinot Noir, the Becker family changed over from farming to vine cultivation.

Since 1973 when they bottled their first wine, they have not looked back producing mostly Burgunder varietals alongside Riesling and Silvaner. Friedrich Becker’s wines have gained admirers all over the world and their Spätburgunders have quickly become among the best produced in Germany.

Friedrich Becker has been a VDP member since 2000 and produces 120,000 bottles annually.
